My First Time Blogging
Hello World!
Hi everyone! My name is Yarely, and this is my very first blog post. I am 18 years old, born and raised in Arizona. I am a girl who is currently trying to chase my dreams to become a pediatric physical therapist. I am also someone who is still learning new experiences and exploring new paths in life. Right now, I am a student at GCC, which is basically the beginning of adulthood in my life to reach my goal of my career, which, again, is to become a pediatric physical therapist. Anyway, my first assignment for my English class at GCC is to create this blog. This is definitely my first time doing anything like this!
My Day Started Simple
Today was my second day of English summer class at GCC. I woke up, got ready, and went to McDonald's for a sausage McMuffin with egg—it was delicious! I went straight to school and had a few minutes before class, so I was just chatting it up with my mom while eating breakfast. My mom drives me everywhere since I still can't drive at 18! My goal this summer is to practice more and get my driver's license because I really need to get one, especially when I am basically already an adult. It's pretty humbling, I know!
Discovering the World of Blogging
When I got to class today, we started working on exactly what I'm writing about right now—creating a blog! I am actually excited to create one because it is like writing in a journal, but sharing it with others. I think blogging is really effective because it lets people express their thoughts and connect with others who might have similar experiences. I think that it gives others a voice and a way to document their memories. It is also a great way to practice writing skills, which is something I definitely need to work on.
What makes this even more interesting is that I am soon going to start research on cold cases for one of my upcoming assignments. Blogging is actually what I will be using to document and share my research findings. That's why I am learning more about this blogging process—it's not just for this assignment, but it will also be a valuable tool for organizing my thoughts and discoveries about these unsolved cases.
Family Time
After school, I went to my sister's house to babysit my 1-year-old nephew. He is adorable, and I love him so much! I helped out because my sister is studying nursing at GCU. She is someone who inspires me to try hard in school and pushes me to do things when I think I can't. Having her support means everything to me. Anyway, that pretty much sums up my day. The rest will basically just be eating, relax, do homework, and get ready for bed.
Final Thoughts
This blogging experience has been interesting so far. I'm looking forward to writing more posts and sharing my journey, such as my research and many other things! Thanks for reading my first blog post!
Until next time,
Yarely A.
